HBO's "Game of Thrones" spinoff is set to premiere on June 16, following Season 1. The show will follow the ongoing war between factions over King Aegon II and Queen Rhaenyra's rule over Westeros.
"House of the Dragon" Season 2 is set to premiere on Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
HBO's TV channel will exclusively air the series, which will also be available for streaming on HBO's streaming service, Max.
"House of the Dragon" is a prequel to "Game of Thrones" based on George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" fantasy novel, detailing the Targaryen dynasty's division and fall.
Season 1 of the Seven Kingdoms ended in October 2022 with King Viserys I's death leaving a power vacuum in Westeros.
As the second season begins, powerful houses are forced to choose sides in a bloody civil war, putting the Seven Kingdoms on the brink of a civil war.
The upcoming season will feature numerous new additions alongside familiar characters from the initial cast.
